Critical Care Summer Session

UC San Diego Medical Center is a leader in critical care research and education in the United States. This summer session is designed to provide the latest cutting edge information to critical care practitioners.

The faculty includes outstanding physicians and nurses involved in the development and implementation of innovations in critical care.

Objectives

After completing this activity participants should be able to:

  • Interpret interdisciplinary approaches for addressing complex critical care problems
  • Describe cutting edge assessment and treatment strategies in the management of the critically ill patient with cardiac disease
  • Identify early interventions and new therapies in the management of acute stroke
  • Describe evidence based practice related to management of the surgical and trauma critical care patient

Target Audience

The target audience for this program includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, EMS providers, and all other interested health care providers.
