Early Career Investigator Award

We received many requests for Early Career Scientist Awards. Unfortunately, we were not able to accept them all. All Early Career Scientist Awards have been chosen and announced.

The Early Career Scientist Track is designed to help those new to the field of Psychiatric Genetics, meet established scientists, learn the field, meet possible mentors and get practical advice on starting their careers. This has been a very successful program in the past and helped many Early Career Scientists.

To be eligible you must be presently a medical student, a graduate student, a post-doctoral fellow or have completed your training less than 5 years ago.

The program includes the following events focused on Early Career Scientists:

  • 3 oral sessions
  • 3 guided poster sessions
  • Mentor Luncheon – Both Early Career Scientist Track attendees and Travel awardees will have lunch with established mentors. The lunch will be held (insert date and time here…should be on new program from CF)
  • Early Career Scientist Prize – An awardee will be selected from each oral or poster session to receive a certificate and a $500 US prize

You must apply separately for the Early Career Scientist Track and the Travel Award. If you have already submitted your abstract, you may revise your submission online; or email m2chu@ucsd.edu. The deadline for this is the same as the abstract deadline.
