We welcome you to attend the 3rd Annual UC San Diego Patient Safety Conference. This year's conference will focus on the promise and peril of introducing new technology to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes in the fields of surgery, telemedicine, medical bioinformatics and simulation training. The conference offers exciting keynote presentations from Drs. Thomas Krummel and Frederick Moll as well as intimate concurrent workshops with interactive panels and speakers designed to encourage open discussion.

Target Audience

The target audience for this program includes physicians, nurses, therapists, technologists, and other healthcare providers

Objectives

At the conclusion of the conference, participants should have increased knowledge in the following:

  • Gain greater understanding of the evolving science of patient safety  
  • Identify types of technological advances impacting patient safety and areas of health care where these are being utilized at UCSD
  • Examine the promises and perils of emerging technology in health care
