Hands-on Workshops 3:15 pm – 5:15 pm

These small group workshops will offer the attendees a unique hands-on opportunity to study various techniques and machines used in therapeutic apheresis and learn about modalities that can be performed by different types of apheresis equipment, such as centrifugal machines, membrane separators, and selective plasma processing methods including photopheresis systems. Attendees will rotate through 5 stations and will be provided with opportunities to address specific questions and practicalities.

Hands-On Workshop Topics:

  • Centrifugal machine 1, Christina Anderson, RN
  • Centrifugal machine 2, Zoe Morelli, RN
  • Membrane TPE system 1, Rasheed A. Balogun, MD
  • Membrane TPE system 2, Judy Kauffman, MSN, RN, CNN
  • LDL-Apheresis machine 1, Isagani I. Marquez Jr., BSN, RN
